No club swings distance results around more than the driver, and it's still the one most golfers grab straight off a wall display. A proper driver fitting is usually the single biggest carry-and-accuracy gain available in one visit.
Every Swing, Logged and Compared
The monitor records ball speed, launch angle, spin rate, spin axis, smash factor, and attack angle on every swing — your current driver and every demo head we bring off the wall, side by side in the same session.
Then we put the shortlisted heads on the reference scale to check how much resistance each one offers against twisting on a heel or toe strike. Two drivers can post nearly identical launch numbers on a center hit and behave completely differently on the mishits that actually happen on the course.
What Actually Changes in a Driver Fitting
Loft & Face Angle
Adjustable hosels let us dial loft in half-degree steps. A negative attack angle usually calls for more static loft than the number stamped on the sole suggests.
Shaft Weight & Flex
Shaft weight shapes swing timing more than the flex letter alone does. We test across weight classes to find whichever combination produces the most repeatable strike location.
Head Rotational Resistance
Higher rotational resistance means a head resists twisting more on off-center contact, which directly shows up as tighter dispersion on the monitor screen.
Length
A shorter, better-controlled driver frequently beats a longer one on center-strike percentage, which tends to outweigh a few extra theoretical yards.
Center of Gravity
CG placement shapes launch and spin somewhat independently of loft. A low-back CG head generally raises launch while trimming spin for players chasing carry.
Grip Size
An oversized or undersized grip changes hand action through impact, which can quietly shift face angle at contact. Grip size gets checked on every driver session.
What a Driver Fitting Usually Fixes
The Slice
A left-to-right spin axis tilt is usually rooted in face-to-path timing, but the right shaft and loft combination can meaningfully reduce curvature while you work on swing mechanics.
Low, Diving Ball Flight
Insufficient launch and spin for your attack angle causes shots to fall out of the air early. Adjusting static loft and CG placement typically corrects this without touching swing speed.
Ballooning in the Wind
Excess spin sends shots high and back, costing carry and exposing the ball to crosswinds. A lower-spin head or shaft, sometimes paired with reduced loft, flattens the flight.
Strikes Scattered Across the Face
If your dispersion pattern shows contact spread widely across the face, a head with higher rotational resistance paired with correct length and lie can shrink that pattern noticeably.
